There is currently huge demand for top quality straw from the livestock sector and export markets, which is why we are looking to make immediate purchase of your barley, wheat, oat and rape straw stocks.
If you've been caught out by the recent wet weather and you still have straw on the floor or in the field, we're actively buying power-station quality straw too in order to fulfill existing contracts.
Straw has becoming an increasingly valuable commodity as demand has soared. We buy any size straw bale, and will pay you excellent competitive prices for your spare stocks.
If you have straw to sell us, please contact Paddy Reed on 07768 353910 or email email@example.com today.
ProStraw Systems are delighted to be your local stockists of the Balemaster and Grainmaster Protimeters from Martin Lishman.
The Protimeter Balemaster is a two-piece hand-held unit and 600mm moisture probe that really stands up to heavy farm and industrial use. Pressure can be used to force the probe into tough bales, without risk to the instrument. The meter measures the moisture within the heart of the bale and determines if your straw is in a safe condition to store. Optional temperature probe is also available.
The Protimeter Grainmaster measures the moisture content in your grain. The unit is supplied in a hard carry case with operational and protective accessories. An optional 1.5m probe is available to measure moisture and temperature of grain in storage. There is also a downloadable Protimeter App available for iOS and Android.
Having continually experienced the frustrations and expense of water-wasted straw bales, the father and son team set about designing a unique mechanised sheeting system that would cover straw-stacks safely, and protect their valuable stock from the worst of the wet weather. Their method of application was launched to great acclaim at the ‘Cereals’ industry event in 2016, and so ProStraw Systems was born.
As well as Paddy and Will’s long-time core businesses of Agricultural Contractors and Straw Merchants, they are also the exclusive importers of Parkland Bale Accumulators throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. This new technology has been designed with controlled traffic farming in mind, and could revolutionise your harvest-time regime saving you both time and money.
Harvest time can demand some long days and many many hours of hard work during the summer. However, by using a Parkland bale accumulator behind your baler, you can maintain controlled traffic on your fields and could clear bales in less than half the time it traditionally takes.
